Acts of creation are ordinarily reserved for gods and poets, but humbler folk may circumvent this restriction if they know how. To plant a pine, for example, one need be neither god nor poet; one need only own a shovel.

Daniel Steinle has been moving slowly westward for more than a decade. Several years ago this Wisconsinite landed softly in Portland, Or and he's been tirelessly shooting street and editorial photographs the whole time. Steinle developed a style heavily influenced by prosaic street photographers such as Adams and Meyerowitz while living in Denver, CO. Endlessly curious, Steinle has worked with clients such as Glamour and still made time to capture moments outside of the studio. Currently, he's found fascination with the flourishing culture of cyclocross in Portland.

He's available for commercial, product, editorial and fashion shoots, and he'd love to hear from you.
